On Sunday morning at 1:00 a.m., gunmen suspected of being bandits stormed the community of Lema in Mando-Kaduna and abducted eight people, including a pregnant woman and her sick mother.

The Lema community is located directly across from the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) in Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Mallam Ali Hoto, a resident in the area, said that when the bandits stormed the area, they began to shoot sporadically, instilling fear in the residents and allowing them to flee.

He claimed that the bandits had terrorized them. He urged the state government to come to their aid.

DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Public Relations Officer for the Kaduna State Police Command, did not return his call for confirmation.
