Garba Shehu, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, has warned the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to blame the previous administration for the ongoing strike.

While responding to questions on Channel Television, Shehu accused the Goodluck Jonathan regime of signing agreements “which they had no capacity to deliver.”

“There are issues with the education sectors, and President Buhari is working to solve them,” he said.

“The strike has been going on for at least six months. Is it right for anyone to insist on receiving 100% of their grievances?

“So, why is Buhari being choked? Something from the past. “How come they didn’t strangle previous administrations on these issues?”
