Femi Gbajabimila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has invited Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Wike, according to Gbajabiamila, is destined to join the APC, and the party can’t wait to have him.

According to Naija News Gbajabiamila made the request to Wike during his speech at the commissioning of the Governor’s official quarters for members of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Friday in Port Harcourt.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed confidence that state lawmakers and the Governor would soon abandon the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the APC.

‘He said’ “I believe that when the governor finally chokes them, the members of the state assembly will follow him to where he is destined to be.” We eagerly await you, your Excellency.”

According to this news outlet, the PDP was thrown into disarray following the nomination of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate in 2023.

Wike finished second in the primaries and was denied the opportunity to be Atiku’s running mate because Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowas was chosen instead.

The development is said to have harmed relationships within the party, and while the PDP is working to resolve the crisis, the situation remains unresolved.

I told Atiku what he needed to do to win the election – Wike

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has revealed that some people close to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar may work against him winning the 2023 election.

Wike made the remark on Friday in Port Harcourt, during the commissioning of his administration’s Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters.

The Governor stated that those who are always seen around Atiku in Abuja may end up costing him the presidential election because they are going about it incorrectly.

He stated that instead of milling around the PDP candidate in Abuja, they should go to their respective states and sell Atiku’s candidacy to their people.

He urged the former Vice President to return them all to their home states.

The Rivers State Governor also urged those fabricating stories about him to ignore him and concentrate on how the PDP can win the 2023 election.
