Sola Sobowale, a popular Nollywood actress, claims she has never appeared in a film as big as Kemi Adetiba’s King of Boys.

This was stated in an Instagram interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. Sola Sobowale, who recently revealed why she left a six-figure salary for menial jobs abroad, described King of Boys as a chance for her to demonstrate her talent. She stated:

“I’ve never done anything like that before.” You know you can do something, but the opportunity never came your way, and then out of nowhere, someone somewhere gave you the chance.”

“Not only did someone say to me, but she also said she wrote it for me.” I was like,’so you believe in me?’ because when I met the one and only Kemi Adetiba and she said, ‘this is what you are going to do,’ I was like,’so you believe in me?’ When I looked at her, my first question was, ‘Are you a gambler?’ because what she brought me was massive.

“Aside from meeting her at The Wedding Party, this is a woman you’ve never met before.” ‘Do you have this much faith in me?’ “Okay, give me the baton and let’s go,” I said.

She also stated that she was nervous throughout the filming process. She continued, saying:

“In order not to disappoint her, I wasn’t myself until the movie came out and I saw the reviews and how people embraced it.” “At that point, I said, ‘All glory to the father.'”

Sola was named best actress at the 2019 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for her role as Eniola Salami.

In addition, the actor received the 2019 New Vision International Film Festival (NVIFF) Lifetime Achievement Award.
