A computer science student from the National Open University’s Ilorin campus allegedly died at the hands of suspected cult members.

Mohammed Isiaka, a 23-year-old man, was the deceased.

According to information, the incident occurred on Tuesday in the city’s Akerebiata neighborhood.

Additionally, it was learned that the attackers broke into the victim’s home and shot him in the chest.

Ajayi Okasanmi, a spokesman for the Kwara Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that officers transported the corpse to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), “where the victim was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty.

The victim’s body had been placed in a mortuary for an autopsy.

The command, according to Okasanmi, “ordered a discreet and goal-oriented investigation into the matter.”

Ample security measures have been put in place to prevent any retaliation

The Command promised that those responsible for the heinous act would be found and brought to justice.
