On Tuesday, the Edo Police announced that they had shot and killed a prominent armed robbery suspect and had found a pump action rifle and five live rounds in a gunfight in Benin.

This information is included in a statement issued in Benin and signed by ASP Jennifer Iwegbu, the PPRO.

According to Iwegbu, the operation was the result of a distress call made to the divisional police officer in charge of the Ugbor division about an ongoing armed robbery operation by Benson Idahosa University, Ugbor GRA, Benin, along the Abuja quarters.

“The DPO personally guided agents to the area with the intention of apprehending the perpetrators.

“The suspects engaged the police in a gunfight when they arrived on the site and saw them.

“However, the police officers’ superior firepower neutralized one of the alleged armed robbers.”

One pump action gun and five live cartridges were found on the suspect.

The gang members who were running were being pursued, according to her, and efforts were being made to catch them.

  1. Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
