Sheyi Ojo, a former Liverpool winger, is set to return to Cardiff as part of the club’s major summer overhaul.
Ojo has passed a medical and is set to sign a three-year contract with Cardiff, becoming the Welsh club’s 11th signing of a busy transfer window for manager Steve Morison.
After leaving Liverpool at the end of his contract this summer, the 25-year-old will join on a free transfer.
Cardiff have rebuffed Championship rivals QPR’s interest in bringing Ojo back to the Welsh capital.
Ojo had a successful loan spell at Cardiff during the 2020/21 season, appearing in 42 games, scoring five goals and creating seven others.
That was one of several loan spells he had while at Liverpool, where he made 13 appearances after joining the club at the age of 14 from MK Dons.
