Pupils from Al-Irshad Academy in Mayo-Belwa, Adamawa State, received a standing ovation for impersonating All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his wife, Remi.

They played Tinubu and his wife in a stage play, with one of them impersonating the state APC governorship candidate, Aishatu Binani, and other APC leaders.

After watching a video of the stage play organized as part of the school’s end-of-session activities, Abdulrazak Namdas, a member of the House of Representatives, gifted the students and management N500,000.

The video, which went viral on social media over the weekend, showed Jafar Usman, a 12-year-old Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) student, dressed in agbada and sporting Tinubu’s signature cap and eyeglasses, arriving at the event with his entourage and security men.

Many people in the audience applauded Usman’s performance.
