Several people have been detained for providing terrorists with information about the whereabouts and movements of troops in and around Abuja.

According to PRNigeria, a security agency is holding the four informants.

Investigations into the July 5 night break-in at the Medium Security Custodial Center in Kuje led to their arrest.

Other recent attacks in Abuja, such as the ambush of Army personnel, including the Presidential Guards Brigade, are also being investigated.

The suspects were apprehended in possession of walkie-talkies, a revolver, knives, amulets, and outdated data-less Chinese phones.

According to an intelligence officer, they are being questioned to find out if they have any connections to terrorist organizations, bandits, or other groups.

“The joint security task force killed more than 70 armed criminals, despite the military’s refusal to provide updates on the attacks on Kuje Prison and troops at the Bwari and Zuma Rock axis.”

The operative confirmed that “dangerous Kuje prison escapees and terrorists” were among those killed.

The intelligence operation regarding attacks on security personnel and formations is being coordinated by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).
