Sonia, the ill daughter of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, is in need of a kidney transplant, and a woman named Annastasia Michael Olamma has offered to donate one of hers.

The 24-year-old woman made the offer in a post on her Facebook page a few hours after Sonia fervently pleaded for kidney donors on her Instagram page.

If the kidney is compatible with Sonia’s condition, Olamma said she would be willing to donate one of her kidneys.

The woman claimed that by providing the donation for free, she was demonstrating the power of women to support one another.

While she awaited Sonia’s response, she stated that her letter, titled: Kidney Donation to Sonia Ekweremadu, had been sent to the email address she provided in her appeal post.

In order to save Sonia Ekweremadu’s life, I (Annastasia Michael Olamma) want to donate one of my kidneys. I’ve decided to do this to demonstrate that women can support women.

“I will donate my own kidney to save Sonia if any of her family members—mom, dad, siblings—cannot give it up to preserve their bloodline. I will not ask for anything in return.

“I hope it complements her own,”
