The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) must be defeated in the next governorship election due to its alleged failure to provide good governance to the people.

The APC accused Governor Seyi Makinde of syphoning public funds rather than developing infrastructure and providing good governance to the people of the state in a statement issued by its publicity secretary, Olawale Sadare.

The opposition party also accused the PDP-led government of failing to address the state’s security and other issues.

In response, PDP spokesman Akeem Olatunji said the APC’s only policy is to inflict pain on the masses, so they can’t appreciate good governance.
